Radiator Grilles
Originally, some of these grilles came as complete assemblies with appropriate badges fixed to them. Pity Rover's parts department - at one point they must have stocked well over 30 variants of these grilles! Now, things have been rationalised somewhat so that you buy your grille and badge separately: much more sensible for the stockholder, and much less confusing for the customer. There's still a few curiosities lurking in some dark corner of a Rover parts warehouse, however, and they're not listed here. So if you're after a Japan-only or Germany-only grille, for example, we advise you to contact us and we'll see what we can do.

There's no way without taking up the entire page to match grille type and finish to each model of Mini from 1969 onwards, particularly from the early 1980s when the avalanche of limited editions really got up speed. As a result, to help you choose from the grilles listed here, their features are described in as complete a manner as space will allow. But, as always, if you're still confused after looking down the list, give us a call.

Late Style Bumpers - Stainless, Black or Nimbus Grey Finish
This is the later profile bumper assembly, actually introduced towards the end of the 1980s, which may be fitted easily to an earlier Mini. The changes from the early style include a different quantity of fixing bolts (but still utilising original body piercings to do so) and the 'spooned' shaping of the bumper ends. The later bumper is available in stainless steel (stainless steel replaced most chromed finishes on exterior fittings on cars as the use of unleaded fuel became more widespread - the fumes can discolour chrome), Black or Nimbus Grey, depending on the year and specification of the car.

Fluted Bumpers - Mini Special and Some Non-UK Models
Some of you who know your onions will realise that these are in fact a pair of rear bumpers borrowed from the Mini Clubman Saloon. The limited edition Mini Specials and non-UK Mini Ritz carried the chrome version of these bumpers (the mainstream model Europe-only Special of the late 1980s did not) to distinguish them from lesser Minis. Black versions were fitted to all early 1980s Mini saloons destined for Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands, where local regulations had outlawed the early (sharp-cornered) ordinary Mini bumper.

1969-84, Models With Optional 10" Alloy Wheels; 1984 on, Models With 12" Wheels
The GAW117 and 'CZH' series of wheel arch extensions are the original black textured plastic items first fitted to models with optional 10" alloy wheels in the 1970s. They became standard fitment when all models received 12" wheels in 1984. From then on, a choice of black or grey plastic wheel arches were fitted, depending on model and year. Body coloured arches came in with the Mini 30th Anniversary model in 1989, and again were fitted selectively from then on; if you require body coloured wheel arches, you should select the primed items listed here. Stainless steel bright finish wheel arch extension covers were offered as dealer-supplied accessories in the 1990s.

Whilst initially wheel arch extensions were rivetted straight onto the body, as time went on it was decided that a seal between the two to protect the paintwork would be a good idea. And so it is - so if you're fitting wheel arch extensions, don't forget the seals.

1993 on, Models With 13" Wheels
Prior to 1997, the Silverstone, Monte Carlo and Cooper 35th Anniversary limited editions were equipped, sometimes optionally, with sports suspension and/or 13" wheels. As a result, a new, larger series of wheel arch extensions were required to suit. For 1997, the Sports Pack option was introduced on Coopers and selected other models (Mini 40 and Classic 2000 Knightsbridge being the best known). The Sports Pack, with its 13" wheels and huge wheel arch extensions, was an instant success, and by the close of Mini production in 2000 the majority of cars coming off the line were so equipped. All the wheel arch extensions listed here are designed to be body coloured and so are supplied in primed condition, with the exception of the Silverstone items which are black.

If you're intending to fit them to a car which has not had them before, be aware that the car's bodywork will need significant modification. The templates explaining these modifications are also listed here, as are the front wheel arch reinforcements which you will need to weld to the body.

Wheel Arch Liner Kit
These snug-fitting moulded plastic front wheel arch liners protect the Mini’s vulnerable under wing, inner wing and door hinge pillar areas from paint damaging stone chips and moisture-retaining build up of road dirt. They fit all Mini bodies except Clubman.
