By 'Carburetter models' we mean the Mayfair, Sprite and numerous limited editions which used the 1275cc carburettered engine which was fitted between 1992 and 1994 (after which date those models received single point fuel injection). For 1275cc Cooper carburetter models, built between 1990 and 1991, plus all 998cc models built up to 1992, please see the 'Cooling - Radiators and Hoses 1959-92' section of this catalogue.

Cylinder Head Bypass Hose
The cylinder head bypass hose was only fitted to the 1275cc carburetter models of 1992-94 (Mayfair, Sprite and associated limited editions).
The plugs listed here should be used if fitting a thermostat blanking sleeve, which necessitates the removal of the bypass hose.
