Offset Instruments, 1989 On
The parts listed in this section are for the instrument packs manufactured by Nippon Seiki from 1989 onwards. From 1969 to early 1989, Minis used instruments which, while appearing at first glance to be an earlier version of the Nippon Seiki design, were in many ways quite different in construction and operation. These earlier instruments, manufactured by Smiths and latterly Lucas, are detailed in the previous section.

Speedometers
These speedometers are calibrated for use on the models shown, so long as original wheel and tyre dimensions are also used and the original ratio final drive (differential) is fitted. Any variation from standard wheel dimensions or final drive ratio will probably - unless you are very careful - change the overall gearing of the car and will result in the speedometer requiring recalibration.

Some speedometers are available as outright new purchases. Others are not and in these instances a reconditioned unit may be offered, in exchange for your old speedometer assembly. This process is dependent on your old speedometer being in a reconditionable state; if it isn't, or you have no old speedometer to exchange, a surcharge will be levied.
