Fresh Air Heater Units
On older models, new complete heater assemblies and heater casings are generally not available, so restoring your old unit is usually the only choice (unless, as happens from time to time, someone unearths a 'new old stock' one). The radiator or 'matrix' can be replaced as can the fan motor; we also offer a reconditioning service for your matrix should you prefer it.

Care must be taken to positively identify your type of heater before ordering parts; many parts are shared between heater designs that look outwardly similar, but others are unique to each design. As a matter of fact, each of the pre-1969 heaters was produced in right hand drive and left hand drive variants (just to increase further the permutations and combinations!).

Important Note: There were, believe it or not, five matrices used in 1963-69 heaters, each with their own unique features. The major difference - the one might stop you from fitting your new matrix into the heater casing - is the dimension between the centres of the inlet and outlet pipes, which could be 115mm (matrix 17H8608) or 125mm (matrix 37H3930). You must measure this dimension on your old matrix before deciding which new one to order.
