Interior trim - saloon 1969-85

Important Notes for Ordering Interior Trim:
Please state model and year of your Mini, whether the fascia has fresh air vents, plus the colour(s) you require along with the part numbers when placing your order. This will help us to make sure you receive exactly the trim you need. Note that because of the complex nature of trim colours and material types, only very popular items and colours (usually black) are held in stock - all others will be obtained to order, for which there will be a short lead time.

For these models, each complete interior trim kit includes two door liners, two rear quarter liners, two dash liners (with vent holes), fascia panel cover (depending on model), front parcel shelf liner, two companion box liners, two rear wheel arch covers and a rear parcel shelf liner.

Being by far the most popular of the multitude of colours originally offered, the following colour schemes are available: Black, Navy.

For these models, the complete interior trim kits includes two door liners, two rear quarter liners, two dash liners (with vent holes), front parcel shelf liner, two companion box liners, two rear wheel arch covers and a rear parcel shelf liner. The dash liners in kit TK3288 are appropriate for the oval instrument binnacle, making the kit strictly speaking correct for 1000 and 850 Super Deluxe models between 1976 and 1980, but these can be swapped if required for the round binnacle types used on City and City E models.

Many colours were offered between 1976 and 1985, the most popular of which are currently available:
1976-80 850 Super Deluxe, 1000, Clubman and 1275 GT (to match vinyl, 'Deckchair' striped nylon or plain cropped nylon seats): Black, Navy, Beige.
1980-85 City and City E (to match 'Houndstooth' fabric seats): Black, Beige.
1980-82 HL and HLE (to match plaid fabric seats): Golden Tan, Blue

Mini Mayfair
1982-85
Door and rear quarter liners for the 1982-85 Mayfair were trimmed in Raschelle velour, a very plush fabric which ceased to be available from the manufacturer many moons ago. This means that creating original style and colour interior trim kits for the very popular Mayfair is unfortunately not possible, unless the manufacturer of the material can be persuaded to restart production (and even then they'd probably have to make and sell a five-mile length as the minimum economic batch quantity). Incidentally, the fascia trim for the Mayfair if you need it is the same as that listed above for 1976-85 models.

One or two original Raschelle trim items are still held in stock by Rover, so if it's a specific piece of trim you're after to replace a damaged item, contact us with the details of what you need and we'll see if your luck is in and it's still available. We ought to warn you that even if it is available, prices for Rover-supplied original trim items are notoriously, ludicrously high. It's also worth saying here that new trim that's been knocking around in car parts warehouses for years stands a good chance of looking very dirty or dog-eared when you receive it, whether it's sealed in a protective plastic bag or not.

An alternative route is to try to source good condition secondhand trim - we will assist with this if you want us to. Finally - and we realise this won't appeal to some owners who'd rather retain their special Mayfair ambience - the other alternative is to retrim the interior to a different style. This is probably best achieved with one of the more luxurious styles of fabric or leather trim (see the 'Saloon 1985 On' trim section in this catalogue), or alternatively with one of the top quality replacement trim packages such as Newton Commercial's Monte Carlo range of kits. Again, if you choose the retrimming route for your car, we would be happy to advise you or source the trim for you.

Mini Limited Editions
Special, Sprite and 25
1979-84
If you own a 1983 limited edition Sprite, you're lucky - unlike its 'Herringbone' seat fabrics the rest of the Sprite interior trim is available because it's the same as the black version of the 1976-85 trim listed above. Not surprisingly, the unique colours and/or materials used in the Special and 25 are for the most part very difficult to find today - see the notes under Mayfair for your options. The fascia trim for all three limited editions is that listed in the 1976-85 section.
