Fascias - instrument housing and face level air vents

It should be noted that while several of the components listed here may not be currently available, the entire assembly can be replaced by the 1967-80 set up detailed in nos. 34 to 42, which is all available.  Once fitted in the car, there is very little visual difference between the two binnacle assemblies.

 

Other colours of instrument housings from the 1980s may still be available.  If you require either a twin or triple instrument housing in Bitter Chocolate, Prussian Blue, or Coffee, please contact us for availability and price.  The only major difference design-wise in the housings was a piercing that was added on the face in the 1990s to take the warning lamp for the burglar alarm, which can be simply plugged on a car not so fitted.  Earlier colours of housings were in more recent years manufactured as spare parts to the later style with the hole and may also require the plug.

Face level air vents or 'eyeball' vents were fitted to higher specification Minis as standard features from 1969 through to 1985, after which they were fitted to all models in the Mini line-up.  Actually, they first appeared long before 1969 on the Riley Elf and Wolseley Hornet, but as is often the case with those models their vents were of a unique design and have not been available for many years.
