All kits are for saloons unless otherwise stated. Pre-Assembled Brake Pipes |
Alternatively, pre-assembled individual brake pipes can be supplied. If you order one of the part numbers below, you will receive a brake pipe assembly made from Cunifer, a superior material which bends to shape easily, doen't work harden and subsequently split and does not corrode. If desired, however, we will supply pipes in original Bundy material or copper - for either of these, please contact us. If you have a 1988 on Mini, fitted with the direct acting brake servo, you should seriously consider replacing the two pipes between the servo/master cylinder assembly with the braided servo hose kit (see further down this section) - it makes maintenance under the bonnet of a late model Mini so much easier! |

Braided Servo Hose Kit |
This kit of two stainless steel braided hoses plus fittings is designed to replace the two brake pipes between the servo/master cylinder assembly and the pressure reducing valve on 1988 on Minis. The advantage of hoses over the original rigid pipes is that the servo/master cylinder assembly can then be moved out of the way, giving clear access to other components in that area under the bonnet, without having to disconnect it from the rest of the hydraulic system (and thus without having to bleed the system when you put it all back). |

For those converting their Mini to Metro-type four pot callipers and ventilated discs, we can supply an easy-to-fit and safe remedy to the problem of how to plumb in the dual line callipers when there's only one brake pipe to each front brake on a Mini. Our set of stainless steel braided hoses replace the standard front brake hoses and at the same time bridge the gap between the two ports on each calliper, removing the need to replicate the complicated dual line to each calliper set up of the Metro (or indeed the ERA Mini Turbo, which used similar callipers). |
